Ghana coach Avram Grant is celebrating his side’s ugly win over Rwanda on Saturday in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday in Kigali.

The former Chelsea manager felt the Black Stars struggled on the uneven pitch at the Amahoro Stadium.

But a wizardly free-kick from Mubarak Wakaso five minutes from time, gave Ghana the points to stun the partisan home crowd.

“The game was very tough and the state of the pitch didn’t help either but I am happy that we have got three points. Rwanda played really well,” Grant said after the match.

Ghana next match is at home on 26 March, 2016 against Mozambique.
