Rwanda have lined up a friendly against DR Congo later this month to prepare for their 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Ghana on 05 September.

The Amavubi were billed to travel to Scotland for a two-week training programme but that has been postponed indefinitely because of the difficulties in acquiring visas.

Head coach Johnny McKinstry has devised an alternative to play the Leopards on 29 August in Kinshasa.

Rwanda will host the Black Stars in a second Group H qualifying match.

On September 12, Rwanda CHAN team composed of domestic league players will play against Gabon in Kigali as a build-up game for the continental championship which will be held in Kigali from January 18 to February 7, 2016.
