Wa All Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori is delighted over the chance to impress Ghana coach Avram Grant after being handed the chance to train with the Black Stars.

The Black Meteors first choice shot-stopper received a late call up to train with the Black Stars ahead of Sunday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius on Sunday.

"I am very excited and I thank God for this opportunity. I am always ready to start," Ofori said on Monday.

He was impressive for the Ghana U23 team which has sealed qualification to the All Africa Games to be staged in Congo and missed out of an opportunity to qualify for next year’s Olympic games in Brazil.

Ofori will join goalkeeping duo Fatau Dauda and Ernest Sowah with Razak Brimah who will join the camp on Monday night.

He will not be part of Black Stars team that will take on Togo in a friendly on Monday and will train with the senior national team ahead of Sunday’s qualifier.
