Trabzonspor forward Caleb Ekuban left a lasting mark on his 25th birthday by scoring the winner for Ghana on his debut in their 1-0 victory over Kenya in the final match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Italian-born hitman was introduced on the hour mark to replace China-based Emmanuel Boateng.

His first contribution nearly resulted in a goal after he was fouled outside the box after a drag back.

He went anonymous for some time but after 81 minutes he popped up again and his bullet of a shot went through the hands of goalkeeper Patrick Matasi.

The goal scored by the on-loan Tranbzonspor striker will surely leave with him for the rest of his career as it fell on his 25th birthday.

Ekuban qualified to represent Italy but decided to play for the Black Stars in the summer of 2017.

The former Chievo Verona marksman has been in impressive form for the Turkish side since joining on loan from English Championship outfit Leeds United in the summer.

He has provided 2 assists and scored 4 goals in 21 appearances in the league to help the Trabzon-based to 4th on the Turkish league table after 26 round of matches.
