Afful targets Champions League glory with Esperance

Ghana international Harrison Afful hopes to make a huge impact in the Caf Champions League when Esperance play at Algerian side Entente Setif on Friday night.

The left-back who missed out on Ghana's World Cup campaign has targeted to impress to win back his place in the team.

Afful won the Tunisian League title last term and believes he is steeled for the test in the continent's flagship club tournament.

"I have been praying for the moment to play in the Champions League because I was not registered for the qualifying rounds and I hope to make an impact," Afful told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I have to be sincere here, I want to play and find my way back into the national team. It will come with hard work and I am ready for that."

The Group stages of the Caf Champions League begin this weekend.
