Last season's Ghana Premier League joint top scorer Samuel Affum has told Ghanasoccernet he is primed for success in the Egyptian League.

The former Hearts of Oak striker has scored two goals in three pre-season games for his new club Smouha FC.

Affum hopes to find his scoring form that ensured he netted 13 League goals back home last term.

“Well, things have been going quite good for me here and I like the experience. I have been going through training for the past weeks and the coach is okay with my performance,” the 20-year-old told Ghanasoccernet.com

“I came to meet Sameul Kyere here and we are getting together very well. He is directing me and trying to get me familiar with the environment. I have also been in contact in former Eric Bekoe.

“Football here is very different from Ghana. There is a lot of speed here and the players are very aggressive, so I need to work hard to get use to their system.

“So far, I have scored two goals in three games. We played against an Egyptian and a Saudi club and I scored in both games. 4-1 and 2-1 respectively. I can say everything is moving. They were very good games but I don’t know the names of the clubs. We won both games anyway.”

“I will try and do my best to score more goals in the coming season but everything is with God. I am doing what I can but I don’t know lets wait and see.”

Samuel Afum joined newly promoted nouveau-riche side in the closed season for US$ 300,000.
