The 52-year-old confirmed holding a lengthy talk with the Malagasy during a meeting in Morocco last month, but he is in the dark in regards to the role he will be assigned in the federation.

“The new CAF President is somebody I respect so very much. He is someone who has been with CAF for so many years. He has come as CAF boss few weeks ago, we all hope that he is going to do well and his dreams and aspirations are going to be fulfilled."

“We also hope those who are going to help him with opinions to succeed are going to do their best."

“For me, they haven’t laid anything specifically down for us to do but what I know is I had a long discussion with him in Morocco and the future looks bright,” Ayew Pele stated.

New President of the Confederation of African Football, Ahmad has made public, his intentions to involve retired football greats from the continent in his development agenda.
