Agent of Afriyie Acquah, Oliver Arthur is confident the Ghana midfielder will be handed a permanent deal by Sampdoria.

The 23-year-old is at the end of his loan stint at the Italian club and will now have to revert to TSG Hoffenheim – his substantive club.

Acquah’s impressive short-term stint in Genoa has led to initial talks over a permanent stay.

And Oliver Arthur is confident the Italian club will trigger the buy-out clause in the loan deal to keep the Ghana international.

“They [Sampdoria] have an option-to-buy clause,” Acquah’s agent said.

“And we are confident that they will exercise this right.”

Acquah joined Sampdoria in January while he was away on international duty with the Black Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

He played an integral role for the side in the second half of the season – helping Sampdoria finish 7th in Serie-A.
