Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah scored a crucial equaliser for Torino as they drew 2-2 with Hellas Verona in the Italian Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

The 23-year-old powerful enforcer levelled the scoring for Torino with a 73rd minute effort as they snatched a vital away point.

Torino's unbeaten start to the 2015-16 Serie A season continued as Acquah's equaliser secured them a point.

The hosts went ahead four minutes into the second half when Luca Toni converted a penalty following Pontus Jansson's foul on Juanito.

In the 66th minute Daniele Baselli made it 1-1, following up to slot in after an initial Fabio Quagliarella shot was parried by goalkeeper Rafael, but Verona regained their advantage five minutes later as Juanito headed in a Federico Viviani free-kick.

Within another two minutes Torino had levelled once more, Acquah reacting to Rafael's palmed attempt at a clearance by side-footing the ball in from the edge of a box.

Acquah joined Torino before the start of the season after leaving Sampdoria.
