The agent of Liverpool target Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has ruled out the possibility of his client moving in January.

The defensive midfielder has been a regular for Udinese this season, catching the eye of several clubs with some impressive performances.

Hull and Stoke have both previously been linked with Agyemang-Badu, 23, while Liverpool are also said to hold a strong interest.

However, all three Premier League clubs have now been dealt a blow in their pursuit after the Ghana international's agent announced his client will not consider a move till next summer.

"Emmanuel is carving out a prominent place at club level. His goal is to do well for Udinese and for the Ghanian national team," Vagheggi told Calciomercato.

"It is the first season that he is playing consistently and he must continue to do so. We will take a call after 30th June, but the transfer market is not crossing our mind at the moment.

"We do not care to comment on the rumours that are circulating these days."

Badu hinted at a summer departure from Udinese several months ago and he also said that he would be ‘happy to join Liverpool’ as rumours linking him with an exit spiralled out of control.
