Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu made a comeback from injury in Udineseââ¬â¢s 1-1 draw with Sporting Braga in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday.
The Ghana international has been out for almost three weeks with a back problem while in pre-season with his Italian club.
Agyemang-Badu, 21, was however a surprise inclusion to manager Francesco Guidolinââ¬â¢s team for the trip to Braga and played the last 17 minutes of the first leg encounter played at the Estadio AXA.
His return serves as a massive boost to Ghana as he missed last weekââ¬â¢s international friendly with China in Xââ¬â¢ian.
The former Berekum Arsenals player will certainly be relied upon when the Black Stars battle Malawi in the ultimate 2013 Nations Cup qualifier next month.
Agyemang-Badu is also expected to play a key role for his club this term following the sale of compatriot Kwadwo Asamoah and Chilean Mauricio Isla to Juventus this summer.
