Agyemang-Badu to fete children's home in Berekum

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu will host a dinner for the Biadan Orphanage home on Friday.

The 22-year-old had on Thursday made item donations to the home as part of his social responsibilities during the Christmas festivities.

The Udinese player joins a list of Black Stars players who have made similar donations to the needy while on brief holidays in Ghana.

Ex Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, Samuel Inkoom, Kwadwo Asamoah and Anthony Annan are the notable names to have given back to society this festive period.

And Agyemang-Badu explains the gesture is a duty for the privileged in society.

“God has blessed me with my career and it is only proper that I also extend that blessing to the needy in society,” he said.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup winner I part of the provisional Ghana squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
