AIK Stockholm coach Alm hails youngster Owusu

AIK Stockholm manager Andreas Alm has praised the performance of Swedish-born Ghanaian defender Edward Owusu in their friendly stalemate with San Jose Earthquakes.

The 19-year-old came off the bench at the start of the second-half to replace Helgi Daníelsson in central defence and he marshalled the back with a touch of command.

AIK were reduced to ten men after Ghana youth midfielder Ibrahim Moro was sent off under controversial circumstances.

Alm was full of praise of Owusu's impact after the game.

"We finished with two 91-year-olds as full-backs. Eddie (Owusu) was really good in the second half and Sam (Lundholm) also came in and played well," he said after the game.

Ghanaian quartet led by Kwame Amponsah-Karikari, Ibrahim Moro, Robin Quaison and Edward Owusu all played part of the game.
