UAE club Al Ain’s head coach Zlatko Dalic has pleaded with fans of the club to give new signing, Emmanuel Emenike, more time to fit to fill the void left by Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan.

Nigerian international Emmanuel Emenike is one of the newly acquired foreign players that include Ryan Babel and Felipe Bastos to fill the void created by the departure of Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan.

Al Ain have played four friendly games against Uzbek Locomotiv (1-0), Hull City (4-0), Al Hilal (2-1) and Al Sadd (0-0) winning none with Emenike failing to register a single goal in all four games. Advertisement

"The new foreign players has begun to gel with the team very well, we have seen improvement in Emmanuel Emenike. I believe that the Nigerian, Dutch (Babel) and Brazilian (Bastos) need more time with the team to give their best for the team," the Croatian coach remarked.

"I am happy with the performances of the players and the team, but we are yet to reach our potentials."

Al Ain left for Morocco, Thursday where they will face Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca on Saturday in a friendly.

Gyan left Ain after three seasons to sign for Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.
