Abu Dhabi: Livewire forward Yannick Boli has completed his transfer to United Arab Emirates powerhouse Al Ain from Russia’s Anzhi Makhachkala

Reigning champions Al Ain are currently second in this season’s UAE Pro League standings, and in the midst of preparing for their latest AFC Champions League campaign which is set to start next month.

The French-born Ivorian made his professional debut for Paris Saint-Germain in 2005, before moving to Nîmes Olympique in 2010.

The 29-year-old has also played for Bulgaria’s Chernomorets Burgas, Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk, and most recently Anzhi where he scored 26 goals in 62 appearances after moving to Russia in 2014..

“I know Al Ain, I researched them and saw that they won the 2003 AFC Champions League, and that they are doing very well in the local league,” Boli said.

“I don’t want to add anything more. I prefer that you will see my actions inside the pitch.”

The Abu Dhabi-based club will begin their 2017 AFC Champions League title quest on February 21 when they meet Zobahan from the Islamic Republic of Iran in Group C.
