Al Qadsia have offered to sign Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila on a permanent three-year deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 22-year-old has impressed so far in his loan stint at the Kuwaiti club.
Sumaila is on a five-month loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns but Al Qadsia officials have moved a step further in securing the defender on a permanent basis with a three-year tabled offer.
GHANAsoccernet.com sources say Al Qadsia are prepared to pay $400,000 in annual wages for the former Asante Kotoko loanee.
The deal is however heavily dependent on whether Mamelodi Sundowns â⬓ who substantively own the player - are ready to agree to a transfer fee.
Sumaila had earlier in the week revealed he will consider other offers before making a definite decision over his future.
But the mouthwatering offer from Al Qadsia appears to have shifted the transfer momentum in their favour.
A deal could be in place as fast as by the end of the week and signed the following before the Ghanaianââ¬â¢s loan agreement expires.
Sumaila has managed to enhance his value which plummeted significantly during his second season at Mamelodi Sundowns where he had very limited first team opportunities.
