Ghana winger Albert Adomah reported for training at Rockliffe Park today but was not included in the first team sessions with his position still unresolved.

The winger submitted a written transfer request just before the transfer window closed but as yet Boro chiefs have not officially responded to that.

Despite his situation and some mooted interest from several clubs, there were no bids for him on deadline day.

Aitor Karanka and his coaching staff are busy preparing the squad for a busy September schedule.

Boro face MK Dons at the Riverside on Saturday before welcoming Brentford three days later.

Televised games at Nottingham Forest and at home to Leeds United then come either side of a Capital One Cup tie with Wolves.
