Medeama president Moses Armah has revealed Albert Commey quit his post prematurely due to the unremitting pressure from the fans.

Commey resigned as Executive vice-president of the club two weeks ago citing personal reasons.

The resignation came as a huge surprise to many as he was seen as an ‘untouchable’ leading figure at the club.

Medeama president Moses Armah insists Mr Comey bowed out of  the club due to the incessant pressure from the fans.

“The pressure from the fans was too much for him. He told me his resignation was personal but I think the pressure was too much,” Armah said

“No one is happy about the way things are going at the moment. And so if you cannot handle the pressure you could be forced to quit.

“We have played only seven games and so there so there is no need to panic at all. We’ll recover in no time.”
