All set for second bout of Asamoah Gyan's Baby Jet Promotions
Emmanuel Tagoe passes the weigh-in test and now set for Ronald Pontillas clash

Ghana’s Emmanuel Tagoe and his Filipino opponent Ronald Pontillas have both met the weight criteria to pave the way for Friday’s international bout organized by the boxing promotions of Black Stars captain; Asamoah Gyan.

Both boxers weighed approximately 130 pounds to beat the cut-off weight for the WBA/WBO Africa Super Featherweight titles.

The successful weigh-in session on Thursday now clears all obstacles for the staging of the international bout at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The night will also see Michael Ansah take on Abraham Osei-Bonsu for the National Super Featherweight championship belt with Bukom King George Ashie take on Kenyan Michael Odhiambo in an International Lightweight contest.

Osmanu Akaba will also fight Moses Dodzi in another Lightweight contest as Ahmed Saraku squares off with Akeem Dodoo from Nigeria in an International Middleweight clash.

Felix Williams will also face David Kotey in a Super Bantamweight Contest, Prince Dzanie against Albert Commey in a Super Bantamweight before the main bout of the evening between Emmanuel Tagoe and Ronald Pontillas is staged.

Excitement is already generating in main-land Accra, the boxing hub of Ghana with the various camps preparing their arsenals for a massive fight night on Friday.

Support will also be coming from the various supporter unions while people from the football fraternity (administrators, current and ex footballers) and entertainment icons will be watching the fight from ringside.

Gates for the epic fight opens from 7pm.
