All Stars Chief Executive Samuel Oduro Nyarko has rubbished reports he curtailed his ambitions to serve on the Ghana FA executive committee after been branded ''an errand boy''.

Nyarko withdrew from the race on Monday citing jam-packed work load.

It will be recalled out-spoken football administrator Takyi Arhin attacked the All Stars boss and others by labeling them ''lame ducks'' and some believe that may have put him off.

But he explained his decision to step down.

He said: ''Look I have withdrawn because I think I can serve in other capacities and it has got nothing to do with those unfortunate comments from Takyi Arhin."

"I have a heavy schedule and upon a through reflection, I realized I won't get enough time to add that to the collection of works that I do for football in the country."

Club owners and Chief Executives nine Premier League clubs will slug it out with only six seats on the executive committee.

The election is fixed for 20 July at the Ghana FA conference room.

The swearing in of the new executives is scheduled for 4 August.
