Bechem United star Amed Toure’s hat-trick saw him tally 12 goals to overtake Ebusua Dwarfs striker Nicholas Gyan in the Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe race.

The former Asante Kotoko lethal weapon scored a stunning hat-trick as Bechem United romped to a comprehensive 4-0 victory against bottom dwellers Bolga Al Stars at the Nana Gyebour park on Saturday.

Toure netted in the 11th, 30th and 92nd minute with former Bolga ace Maxwell Frimpong also on target.

The Ivorian-born Burkinabe striker has now become the top scorer by scoring one more than Nicholas Gyan but the Ebusua Dwarfs man will have the chance to return to the summit when the Cape Coast-based club take on Aduana Stars today.

Toure who is having his third spell in Ghana football after two stints with Kotoko has been one of the outstanding players in the Ghana Premier League so far this season.
