Ander Herrera has told his Manchester United teammates they must improve despite winning a third straight Premier League away game at West Brom.
United dominated the first half at The Hawthorns on Sunday and goals from Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard saw them go in at the break 2-0 up.
But they failed to test Ben Foster in the second half and when Gareth Barry got one back for West Brom after 77 minutes, it set up a nervous finale.
Herrera told MUTV: "We should have controlled more of the game in the second half because we played one of our best first halves of the season. We didn't let them create chances against us, which is difficult here because they have quality players.
"So, we were very happy at half-time but now we have to think about improving things, because in the second half, they controlled the ball and we suffered a little bit. We can be happy but there are things to improve."
Ander Herrera was not happy with Manchester United's second-half display.
United were thankful for a bit of luck in the build-up to their second goal when Lingard's shot from the edge of the area cannoned off Ahmed Hegazi and into the net.
Jose Mourinho, though, said his United team were due some fortune after their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford.
United might have come away with a point against Pep Guardiola's side had Lukaku's second-half effort not hit Ederson in the face.
Mourinho said: "The goal [against West Brom], OK a rebound, but with a bit of un-luck you lose, with a bit of luck you win. Sometimes this is important. In the last match we lost because of a ball that hit his jaw. This time, we win with the second goal with a rebound."
