Andre Ayew could be working under former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam at West Ham United.

Stam, a Dutch legend has been strongly linked with the job following concerns regarding the long-term future of under-fire manager Slaven Bilic.

West Ham have identified Reading manager Jaap Stam as their top replacement for the under-fire Slaven Bilic – but fans on Twitter are not convinced.

It was reported in the Mirror on Sunday morning that the Championship chief had jumped to the top of the shortlist of potential candidates, as the pressure continues to mount on current West Ham boss Bilic.

The Croat has failed to improve upon last season’s seventh-placed finish in the Premier League, and a number of poor signings has left him on the brink.

He had already been given a vote of confidence by the board following a miserable run of form in December that left them just one point clear of the relegation zone, but things have hardly improved since.
