Swansea City star Andre Ayew says he is looking forward to their English Premier League opener at Burnley, meaning he is staying put at the Liberty Stadium despite constant speculations about his future.

The Ghana international, who had a successful debut season after finishing the club’s top scorer with 12 goals, has been linked with a host of suitors including Liverpool, Manchester City and Napoli.

Ayew has continued his form in pre season by scoring two goals in many games.

Swansea will finalize their preparations with matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers before hosting French side Stade Rennais on 06 August .

“It’s always important to win because when you are a team, you want to win always,” he said.

“It’s good for us that we have got another victory, but what is more important is to play our game and to feel that we are ready physically and technically.

“We feel like we are getting there.

“Every game in pre-season we try to win, but what really matters is to get a win when the league season starts. Our focus is August 13.”
