Andre Ayew expected to join Ghana camp on Monday

By Ameenu Shardow

Andre Ayew has been given a two-day extension to report to the Ghana camp in the UAE, GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered.

The 23-year-old is nursing a hamstring injury he sustained last week while in training with Olympique Marseille.

Ayew was initially expected to join the rest of his Black Stars teammates in Abu Dhabi by the Saturday deadline.

He has however been granted some extra days off by the Ghana FA to continue with his initial treatment with his doctors in France.

The son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele is now expected to arrive in the Black Stars camp on Monday to complete the line up of players invited for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

If he doesn’t come his fake injury will curse him! Tell us the truth and the truth will set you free. If he miss out, GFA must give number 10 jersey to Kwadwo Asamoah

  2. wasty says:

he will come gfa should cool done he is the best so far

what will he or his team Marseille gain by faking an injury. If you dont know the rules concerning call ups to National teams then let me make it clear. When a player who has not indicated to the National Association his unavailability for selection is invited to the squad he is bound by regulations to attend. During the period of the tournament you cannot play for you club or it comes with a stiff fine to both you and the club. So what will they gain by faking an injury cos he cannot even play for the club during the period that the Stars are still in the tournament.

DEDE already wears no 10 jersey for his club,It makes no sense…What i want ghanaian to know is that Dede is an exceptional player,We dont have such qualities in any player in Black Star. The Quality he has that i admire him is the “Never say Die spirit”
If you observe during the under 20 final,he was the main inspiration behind the success,And he was like boys lets give up our very last best….And that is how he plays his ball. That is why sometimes i have problem with AA when he mishandle this delicate player

@rasa, u have some mental problem! Next time think well before you speak. fool! What is wrong with my comment?

@Desmond, don’t forget that God can punish him through his fake injury coz God doesn’t like lie

  8. tony says:

Contentious player in the black star team currently, his inclusion in the black stars camp can be minus or plus, meaning he always plays when Gha win or loss, so to me his inclusion or exclusion will not have any effects on the team, that is my opinion, No insult if you got your opinion you can also share, we are in the world of democracy

  9. nanakash says:

so if we can give ayew time to recover at camp why did we not do the same with Y Mohammed. there are equally good players out there like Quincy even on the local scene. so why do we want to force the guy if he says he is sick? WORD

  10. nanakash says:

its never too late we can call Muntary or even Jordan.
