Midfielder Andre Ayew lasted the entire duration as Marseille suffered a 2-0 defeat to PSG in the Classique at the Parc des Princes on Sunday evening.

The 24-year-old put up a brave fight for the Olympians but him losing possession five minutes into the second half resulted in the first goal.

Ayew lost the ball midway inside the home half and Alex drove out from the back before finding Ibrahimovic wide on the left.

The Swede tried initially to pick out Maxwell, only for Nkoulou to intercept.

But the ball broke back to Ibrahimovic, who this time found the Brazilian, and Maxwell coolly finished low past Mandanda.

There were 20 minutes remaining when Cavani replaced Lavezzi, and the former Napoli man needed nine minutes to get his name on the scoresheet, arriving unmarked in the box to head home a Van der Wiel cross from the right at the end of a lovely move that Cavani himself had started.
