Andre Ayew recovers to start for Marseille at Sochaux

Andre Ayew has been named in Olympique Marseille’s starting lineup to face Sochaux on Sunday night.

The Ghana midfielder has recovered from a hamstring injury to play a part in Marseille’s away game from the onset.

The 23-year-old was left out of the Ghana squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after failing to report to the team’s Abu Dhabi camp at the prescribed time.

The midfielder who was originally ruled out for five days has since been working with Marseille’s physios and medical experts during the team’s training camp in Morocco.

He is now deemed fully fit to start the must-win game at Sochaux.

Les Phoceens need the win to keep in touch with the leading teams in the French Ligue 1 where Marsielle are level on points with PSG and Olympique Lyon.
