Swansea City coach Francesco Guidolin is considering using Andre Ayew as a striker for the new season.

The Welsh club are desperately short of strikers following the departure of Eder and Alberto Paloschi as well as Gomis set to complete a loan to Marseille.

The likes of Peter Crouch and Leicester city's Leonardo have been considered as options for further reinforcements.

But reports suggest Guidolin will opt for Ayew as his main frontman in the new campaign if the club fail to land any of their targets and if the Ghana international stays put at Swansea.

Andre is being chased by a host of teams after an excellent debut campaign with The Swans where he emerged top scorer with 12 goals.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins is expected to accept a £16million offer from West Ham United plus has already been linked with Manchester City, Liverpool and Napoli.
