Andre Ayew to face Liverpool

Ghana star Andre Ayew will come face to face with his dream club at Anfield on Sunday as he leads Swansea City to take on Liverpool in the English Premier League.

The in-form 25-year-old attacker will be leading the lines for Garry Monk's Swans as they try to upset a reviving Liverpool side at their favourite grounds.

Ayew's sweet back-heel against Bournemouth hogged the Premier League headlines last weekend and the former Olympique Marseille has aims to establish himself against another big club in the English top-flight after scoring against Chelsea and Manchester United as well as Tottenham Hotspurs.

Liverpool started their own course of revival in some style after hammering Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

However there is mounting pressure on Swansea manager Garry Monk and the entire Welsh contingent must return with a decent scoreline at Anfield to help keep Monk's job intact.

Andre, Ghana's vice captain, has made no secret of his admiration for Liverpool and was linked to the club before his summer transfer to Swansea.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was also linked with a move for the winger during his spell as manager for Borussia Dortmund but the transfer never saw the light of day.

It will be the first time the winger has encountered Liverpool in a league game.
