Ghana and Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew says they must fight to win the French league title having secured the Cup.

Ayew and his brother Jordan played as Marseille beat Montpellier 1-0 in Saturday’s French League Cup final to give their second silverware of the season.

Ayew says they must now concentrate on winning the league title after the League Cup success.

"I am very happy with this evening." Andre, the son of legend Abedi Pele, said.

"The season has been a bit complicated but we have picked ourselves up.

"It's nice to win the cup but there's also the championship and we will do everything we can to go after it.

"We will give everything for these fans who are always behind us. As they say, it was evident!"

Marseille are two points behind league leaders Lille, but has a game in hand and can go top if it beats Nice on Wednesday.

Marseille then plays Auxerre, title rival Lyon, Brest, and then Lorient on 15 May.
