Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew is not enthused about FIFA’s Racism Ambassadorial role for international teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng.
Boateng, the AC Milan ace, was named as part of Fifa’s new anti-racism task force in April this year to help combat racism and discrimination in the game.
This was after he was racially abused by fans of lower division Pro Patria during a friendly match played in January.
Andre, who suffered racial abuse playing in the Europa League last season, wants racism to be kicked out from the beautiful game.
The Marseille midfielder told Ghana Sports Newspaper: “You might only want to have such post when it has happened to you but for me it’s not a priority.
“As a contribution to the human race it is good to do something to help the development of the game. But personally it’s not what I am looking for at the moment.
“Racism is not good because people from different backgrounds and diverse colours play football.”
