Andre Ayew intends enjoying his brief holidays in Ghana after powering Olympique Marseille to their final win of 2012 over the weekend.
The Ghana internationalââ¬â¢s towering header on the stroke of halftime was enough to hand Les Phoceens the vital win over Saint Etienne on Sunday.
The win sees Elie Baupââ¬â¢s side move join top in Ligue 1 on 38 points â⬓ the same as leaders PSG and second-placed Olympique Lyon.
Ayew will now take a brief time out before joining the Black Stars team for the pre-2013 Nations Cup camp in Abu Dhabi.
He now says the hard fought win â⬓ the final for Marseille in 2012 will make his relaxation in Ghana even more better.
"It's a tough game, but we knew that,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅWe scored before the break, it boosted us a lot.
ââ¬ÅWe wanted to leave the game in St-Etienne, as a very strong collective team haven encountered some difficulties in recent times.
ââ¬ÅAnd this galvanized the team, we players do something good this season, we try to prove it every game.
ââ¬ÅBut hopefully we will not implode and should continue to work.
ââ¬ÅAll games like this, we must learn to feed and learn.à Progress is needed especially in the final third. Now we will enjoy the holidays.ââ¬
