Swansea City’s manager Garry Monk has dismissed beliefs that his players – especially star players like Andre Ayew – are struggling for good form.

The Swans slump to yet another defeat to Liverpool on Sunday to further their poor record to just one win in eleven matches.

Most of the leading performers responsible for Swansea’s impressive start to the season including Jefferson Montero and Bafetimbi Gomis are clearly struggling to regain their hot form.

Andre Ayew who has been the only bright spot for Swansea lately was limited to defensive duties at Anfield on Sunday.

Garry Monk who is increasingly coming under pressure however refuses to give into fears his team’s form is shattered.

“We’ve had indifferent performances in this period but you clearly see how determined they are,” he said.

“That doesn’t look like a team in trouble. That doesn’t look like a team that has had a run of form like we’ve had.

“Unfortunately things have gone a little bit against us plus ourselves when we have not performed at those levels consistently enough.

“But for sure you can see a team that wants to put that right and make sure we get the result to give us some momentum going forward and it is only a matter of time for us to start clicking again.”
