Reading new signing Andy Yiadom has been recalled into the Ghana team for upcoming exhibition matches against Japan and Iceland.

The right-back has not been given a look since playing a bit-part role for the Black Stars at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Gabon.

Yiadom was discovered by former Ghana boss Avram Grant who gave him two opportunities at the tournament.

But after the Israeli left, he had been overlooked as he missed the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers last year and also for that of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

His recent impressive displays for Barnesley which earned him a move to Reading has earned him a return to the international stage.

The 26-year-old England-born looks set to start with MLS star Harrison Afful not invited for the exhibition matches.
