Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has admitted to his difficulty in adjusting to the Spanish top flight.

The 26-year-old joined Osasuna at the beginning of the season in a bid to resurrect his dwindling club fortunes while with German club Schalke.

Annan who has also played in Norway and Holland is however finding life tough in Spain especially in the communication with his Osasuna manager Jose Luis Mendilibar.

"I don't understand a word he (Mendilibar) says. I only look at his face and try to understand through what I see from his facial expressions and actions,” Annan disclosed.

“We listen to him attentively and do what we can from what he teaches us.

"It is a very difficult to play in the Spanish league. The teams here play very aggressive football. I think it is one of the best leagues in the world."

Annan has played four out of the seven games so far this season for Osasuna in the La Liga.
