Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan has been voted as Rosenborg's Player of the Year for the second time in a row by the fans.

Annan had 42 percent of the total 4096 votes cast, Markus Henriksen came second with 33 percent and 40-year-old midfielder Roar Strand was third with 10 percent.

"It's a great honor for me. I thank the fans for having voted for me and I'm very grateful," says Annan told the club's website.

"All players have done a good job this year and fans have probably seen that I've been good.

The Manchester United and Liverpool target shares his fondest memories for the season.

"We have performed well even in the whole year.  But for me personally, I remember particularly good cup games against Start. When I scored my first and only goal for Rosenborg and then I got a red card after. The fight I will not forget, he smiles," he added.

Rosenborg won their 22nd Norwegian league title this term.
