Former Nania FC technical director Annor Walker feels Andre Ayew will excel as a future Black Stars captain.
The 24-year-old was recently appointed as the deputy captain of the Black Stars due to his leadership skills.
The Marseille winger led Ghanaââ¬â¢s Under-20 team to clinch the 2009 African and World Youth Championships where his maturity and leadership skills shone.
He has been tipped by many to take over from current skipper Asamoah Gyan in the foreseeable future and follow in the footsteps of his legendary father Andre Ayew.
Walker, who is credited for honing the talent of the rising star during his formative years, is confident he will be an exemplary leader.
ââ¬ÅAndre has leadership skills despite his young age and he displayed that during his time with the Black Satellites,â⬠he said
ââ¬ÅI have no doubt in my mind that he will be a good leader of the team in the future.
ââ¬ÅYou donââ¬â¢t need to play for the Black Stars for 20-years to show your leadership capabilities.
ââ¬ÅHe has demonstrated that over the last couple of years and I have said that he will captain the Black Stars at some point and will excel.ââ¬
The former Lorient winger is expected to join his international teammates on Wednesday to prepare for Saturdayââ¬â¢s 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda.
