Fans of Berekum Arsenals are alleged to have assaulted Unity FC coach Nana Andy Sinason before their second tier league match on Saturday.

The victimized coach claims he was beaten under the instructions of Arsenals chairman Yakubu Moro in a grand plot to intimidate his side before the match played at the Golden City Park.

Coach Sinason sustained a swollen black patch below his right eye following the assault before the game that saw Arsenals prevail 2-0.

The assaulted coach has accused the Berekum Arsenals chief for instigating the unacceptable acts – a constant feature whenever Arsebals play at the Golden City Park.

“Yakubu Moro organized his boys to beat me before the match,” Sinason told Asempa FM.

“It is something they do often with impunity.”

The case of assault on Sinason comes hours after a 21-year-old referee was pronounced dead days after being beaten by irate soccer fans in the Western Region.

The Ghana FA is expected to take serious actions against perpetrators of these unacceptable acts including embarking on criminal prosecutions.
