Ghana international midfielder Anthony Annan made his debut for Stabaek IF when they managed a narrow victory over Tromso on Saturday afternoon.

American gaffer preferred the 29-year-old experienced enforcer to start ahead of his countryman Kamal Issah and he lasted until the 63rd minute at the Nadderud Stadion.

Annan started alongside winger Ernest Asante in midfield and the pair efficiently combined to help Stabaek take command of the game.

The former Hearts of Oak star played in his favourite holding role in and impressed until he was replaced by former Liberty Professionals starlet Kamal Issah.

Ivorian Luc Kassi scored first for the host before Muhamed Keita scored late in the 93rd minute to win the game for Stabaek.
