Arsenal have made an offer for Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding, according to the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old did not feature in Bolton's squad to play Fulham at the weekend after the club’s directors instructed caretaker manager Jimmy Phillips to leave him out.
Bolton want a fee in the region of £5m for the highly-rated defender but it is reported the Gunners are looking to secure a deal closer to £2m.
Holding has one year left on his contract at Bolton.
