Arsenal reignite interest in Juventus starlet

Arsenal have reportedly rekindled their interest in Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spain international has been recently linked with a return to his former club Real Madrid, however it now seems Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has plans to bolster his attacking line up, and lure Morata to the Premier League.

The Sun have reported that the player was initially nearing a return to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, although Arsenal’s efforts have been boosted thanks to Madrid’s recently imposed transfer ban.

Furthermore, they have claimed that the 23-year-old would be open to a move to the current English league leaders, after falling out of first team favour under coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The London outfit reportedly made moves to entice the player in 2014, although were ultimately defeated by Juventus in the race to sign him.

Since joining the reigning Italian champions, Morata has made 47 Serie A appearances and scored a total of nine domestic goals.
