Ghanaââ¬â¢s super star striker Asamoah Gyan has warned Zambia the Black Stars will put them to sleep when the two teams clash in a crucial 2014 World Cup group decider in September.
The Black Stars stepped up preparations for the BIG showdown after fighting from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Turkey in an international friendly on Wednesday night.
Gyan inspired the team to success and cemented his superstar status for the West African giants with a second half brace at the Atuturk Arena in Istanbul.
Zambia on the other hand drew 1-1 with Senegal in a similar exercise as the two countries fine-tune ahead of the crunch meeting in Kumasi next month.
The Black Stars must avoid defeat to advance to the final play-offs while the Chipolopolo must pull the chestnut out of the blazing fire to win and ensure they advance to the next stage at the expense of the four-time African champions.
But the Ain hitman insists his colleagues are ready to teach the ââ¬Ënoisyââ¬â¢ Zambians a bitter lesson.
ââ¬ÅI think weââ¬â¢re ready. Some of the players have just started their league and some are still on pre-season,â⬠Gyan said
ââ¬ÅWe are preparing ourselves physically for the game. But that time everybody will be ready.
ââ¬ÅThis game will be special for Ghanaians. There will be huge expectation from the fans. We know what Ghanaian want and weââ¬â¢re coming to Ghana to make everybody happy
ââ¬ÅIt wonââ¬â¢t be an easy game for Ghana. There might be pressure but we know what weââ¬â¢re capabale of doing. So weââ¬â¢ll make sure we come to Ghana and make everybody happy.
ââ¬ÅHonestly we have never spoken about the Zambian game. But I think weââ¬â¢re all professionals and we know what is at stake.
The Black Stars have suffered two successive defeats against the Zambians and will aim to avenge the defeat suffered especially at the 2012 African Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equitorial Guinea.
