Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has hailed the massive interest in the country's top-flight league which has seen massive attendances this season.
The foreign leagues look to have dominated the headlines and excitement among local fans over the past few years with matches on television.
But this terms with matches shown live on SuperSport the excitement has returned with fans trooping to the stadium.
The performances and quality has equally been on the high level with clubs like Hearts of Oak, Wa All Stars as well as Dreams FC showing early promise.
Gyan, who played for Liberty Professionals is delighted over the attendances witnessed in the local league this season.
“Since I arrived in Ghana, I can see the excitement regarding the Premier League have been very great. There is improvement in the league and this is what I have been wishing for,” Gyan told Hot FM.
Gyan is a supporter of Kotoko who have not been in top shape since the start of the league.
