Several English top-flight clubs fighting to beat the drop have fixed their sights on Ghana international forward Asamoah Gyan.

The 28-year-old Ghana international is currently with Middle Eastern team Al Ain, which play in the United Arab Emirates, but it is understood he wants to return to England with the hope of getting into his national squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

West Ham and Stoke are two known clubs to have expressed an interest in the striker, who has netted 16 goals so far this season.

The Hammers have already inquired about the possibility of a loan move for Gyan, who earns a whopping £140,000 at Al Ain, and the east London club are willing to pay a significant percentage of his wages.

It appears Gyan has the choice of which side he wants to join, but he may wait to see if further offers come in.
