Asamoah Gyan ready to redeem pledge to Black Queens on his 30th birthday

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has stated that he will be fulfilling the promise he made to the senior women’s football team of Ghana (the Black Queens) at his 30th birthday party coming this Sunday.

Gyan had promised to reward the Black Queens should they win gold at the 2015 All African Games in Congo-Brazzaville. 

Prior to the tournament, the skipper of the Black Stars gave the Black Queens a whopping $10,000 as a motivational package before making that promise.

The Black Queens defied all odds to win the Gold medal by beating hot favourites Cameroon 1-0 in the final.

The Ghana captain has revealed he will be honouring the female national team on his birthday at his residence, “La Basilica de Baby Jet”.

“I have promised them so I have to fulfilled my promise. That day will be a special day for me because it is my 30th birthday,” Gyan said.
