Hearts of Oak midfielder Uriah Asante has made an astonishing recovery from injury to train with his side on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old suffered a suspected tear in his groin during last Sunday's league clash with Asante Kotoko.

Asante was feared to be out for the year but remarkably returned to the training grounds on Tuesday and took part in the full session.

Hearts' next league match away to Wa All Stars on Sunday is however deemed too early for the playmaker and is likely to return to first team action in the week 9 home fixture with Aduana Stars.

Asante's sensational early season form is one of the reasons the 20-time league champions are doing relatively well in this campaign and will be definitely boosted by the news.
