Asante Kotoko coach Zdravko Lugarusic off to Croatia after Super Clash defeat

Head coach of Asante Kotoko Zdravko Lugarusic has left the country to his native Croatia after his team’s 1-0 loss to Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The 55-year-old tactician is reported to have departed from Accra on Sunday evening just after his side’s controversial 1-0 loss to sworn rivals Hearts to attend to family issues.

His deputy Godwin Ablordey will take charge of the team in his stead up until he comes back.

The Ghana Premier League will go on recces this weekend for the preliminary round of the MTN FA Cup to take place.

He is expected to return to the country next week before the team take on Inter Allies in week 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
