Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of Nea Salamina defender Emmanuel Owusu on a three-year deal.

Owusu, captained the Brong Ahafo-based side last season in the second-tier division, put pen on paper on a three-year contract after completing his routine medical.

He becomes Coach Steven Polack's first signing in the transfer window ahead of the 2017/18 season.

"I'm extremely delighted to join this club and I'm looking forward to doing my best to help the team achieve their greater laurel among the many other targets set for the coming season,'' Owusu said.

The pacy poacher had been training with Kotoko since the start of the pre-season training and caught the eye of the English gaffer, who is bent on augmenting his squad ahead of the upcoming season as well as their CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors finished last season with only MTN FA Cup trophy, where they defeated arch-rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1in the finals.
