Liberian minnows Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) shockingly eliminated Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko out of the CAF Champions League following a vital 1-0 win for the home side  in Monrovia on Sunday.

An 85th minute strike by Blamo Nimley was just enough to send the Liberian club through on the away goal rule .

Kotoko were unable to protect their slim 2-1 advantage carried into the return leg match in Monrovia and were sent packing 3-2 on aggregate.

Mas-Ud Dramani’s team held their own for most parts of the game only to lose it in the final minutes of the game.

The Ghanaian giants have now failed to make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League for two successive seasons they have won the domestic championship.
