Newly signed Al Hilal defender Abeiku Ainooson says Kotoko have enough quality to win the league even in his absence.
Ainooson joined Kotoko from Edubiase two seasons ago and hugely impressed with the Porcupine warriors in his maiden season with the Red army.
Ainooson was named the best player as Kotoko won the MTN FA cup that season and was handed the award as the best defender in the league.
Injuries restricted his impact on the field in his second season as Kotoko battled to a second place finish.
After moving to Sudan a few weeks ago Ainooson says he is confident coach David Duncan and his men will do a good job in his absence.
“I know very well that Kotoko has quality players and I tip them to challenge for the league title,” Ainooson said
“There are few teams in Africa who have the pedigree of Kotoko and I am very certain that my colleagues will do a good job in the coming season.”
